Tehran, 29 November: On Wednesday [29 November], the election headquarters of the Interior Ministry released the list of candidates for the Assembly of Experts [AE] elections.

The 86-member Assembly of Experts chooses and supervises the supreme leader. The Guardian Council approved 163 candidates out of 495 hopefuls to run for the body. The AE elections are held every eight years.

The candidates are separately listed for each province. The campaign for the election begins from today. The election will be held on 15 December …
