Section: Corporate News - LTU International Airways is making its presence felt in Thailand in a way that could result in it eclipsing its German rival flag carrier Deutsche Lufthansa, the Bangkok Post reports.
The Dusseldorf-based airline this month sharply increased its services between Thailand and Germany to nine a week from merely two in the summer season ending in October, in an effort to cash in on surging demand in Germany for flights to Thailand.
That makes the privately owned carrier the largest provider of direct flights between the nations ahead of Lufthansa and Thai Airways International (TG).
