A lucky few win fistfuls of cash in year-end 'cash grab' promotion in Sapporo.

SAPPORO -- A year-end event allowing shoppers who win draws to grab as much money they can from a container in a set time has got underway at a shopping street here.
The "cash grab" promotion is being held at the Tanuki Koji shopping street in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, until Dec. 25.
The first winner of this year's grand prize was a 60-year-old resident of Sapporo's Higashi-ku, who managed to grab 138,000 yen in the set one-minute time frame.
