Swift Transportation rejected on Nov.27 the $29 per share buyout offer from former chairman Jerry Moyes.
Moyes made the offer in a letter to current Swift Chairman Jock Patton dated Friday, Nov. 3. The Special Committee of the Board of Directors formally rejected the proposal Monday morning. Members of the Special Committee are Jock Patton, David Goldman and Paul Mecray, each an independent director of the company.
