Nov. 22--Two Statesville residents, including a former teacher's aide at Statesville High, face statutory sex and statutory rape charges after an ongoing investigation found that they were having illegal sexual contact with a 15-year-old child.

Donald Williams, 47, of 2310 Scaleybark Road, was charged Tuesday with seven counts of statutory sex offenses. Jane Ann Banks, 27, of 1400 Fifth St., was also charged Tuesday with two counts of statutory rape of a child.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Williams met the then 14-year-old child in the summer of 2005 and had unlawful sexual contact "numerous times" over the…
