Jakarta, Nov 24 (ANTARA) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla said on Friday the continuing mudflow from Lapindo Brantas Inc.'s well in Sidoarjo district, East Java, is an ordinary disaster and played down a call to raise its status to a national disaster. "Admittedly, the mudflow has become a disaster since the beginning," he said commenting on Wednesday's gas pipeline explosion near the source of the mudflow that killed seven people. The government had never made a distinction between disasters, he said, adding that when a disaster happened, it must be handled functionally.
