The assassination of Pierre al-Jumayyil, the way it was carried out and at this very time, will place Lebanon at a new crossroads because it was not an assassination like all previous ones. And we will not be surprised if it triggers retaliatory acts and perhaps a second civil war, at least in the near future if not at present.
