Section: Regional News - As many as 150 staff members of the Vietnam News Agency, VNA, were awarded the badge "For International Mission" for their voluntary work in Cambodia from 1979-89.

Acting General Director of the national news agency Nguyen Quoc Uy talked of the hard work by VNA experts during those years to "build immediately a news agency for Cambodia." "The mission was to help Cambodia air abroad the hot news on the establishment of the Cambodian United Front for National Salvation," said Uy, recalling his own experience in Cambodia.
