Rain-soaked Mexico City delivered a finish for the ages, and there was no reason it had to be that way. Sebastien Bourdais might have happily cruised to second place and taken his third straight championship bonus back to Tampa, Florida, to await the birth of his first child, due in late December. If anyone still imagines that Bourdais' intelligent approach to his craft somehow lacks passion-that it makes him something less than a pure racer-Champ Car's season finale should bury the notion forever.
