A Statement on behalf of the family of the late Vice President Paulo Muwanga (1924-1991)

Nalongo Kasalina Muwanga, wife of the late Paulo Muwanga and her family wish to categorically refute the story by Kibalama which appeared in Sunday Monitor, November 12, 2006 in its entirety.

The story in two parts alleges that the late Paulo Muwanga masterminded the plot to murder the late Chief of Staff Oyite Ojok who died along with other passengers in a helicopter crash.

Murder is a capital offence. Although the late Paulo Muwanga can not be tried for murder post-humus nonetheless, the allegations of his collusion in the murder of the late Oyite Ojok and those with him in the helicopter crash, are specific enough to have serious implications.
