Hamas leader Khalid Mish'al said on Monday [20 November] that the West would have no other choice but to recognize the Palestinian unity government, whose details are being discussed by Hamas and Fatah. Mish'al added that "such a government would provide the international community with an opportunity to mend its mistakes. Some international parties do not wish to respect the will of the Palestinian people. Today they must learn a lesson from their previous mistakes and respect the collective will."
