Nov. 18--The folks who lived in the mobile home park near the Columbus County village of Armour were just beginning to stir at 6:37 a.m. Thursday. Then a tornado roared out of a stormy black sky and everything changed. Within seconds, eight people were dead, two of them children. Another 19 were injured, some of them gravely. The experts say the tornado that hit Armour 15 minutes before dawn Thursday had winds of 300 miles an hour and was half a mile wide. The devastation was complete.
