Nov. 19--One of the Carolinas' longest holiday traditions will be renewed this week with the 59th annual Carolinas' Carrousel Pageant and Parade in Charlotte. The Carolinas' Carrousel is really two events -- a scholarship and awards ceremony Wednesday night at the Westin Charlotte and the Thanksgiving Day parade. Thousands of dollars in scholarships will be available at Wednesday's event. A highlight will be the crowning of the Carolinas' Carrousel queen. Last year's winner, Andrea Blanford of Jay M. Robinson High School in Cabarrus County, is a student at UNC Chapel Hill. In addition, top band students will be honored at Wednesday's…
