News Corporation's chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch has criticised the quality of broadband services in Australia as a disgrace, reports The Australian. According to Murdoch, Australia will be left behind unless the government and Telstra spend billions to boost download speeds. Speaking to shareholders of his Australian unit News Limited, Murdoch said that fast access to the internet has to be increased to levels seen in Asia and the US.
