KeyCorp's fresh merger with Cleveland-based Society Corp. is continuing to funnel new jobs into Western New York.

The nation's 11th largest bank is moving some back office operations into the Buffalo area. By year-end, almost 200 new jobs are expected to have been created.

Furthermore, more growth in KeyCorp's Western New York job force, which includes KeyCorp Mortgage Inc., is anticipated in 1995 and beyond as KeyCorp seeks to gain efficiencies through consolidating back-room operations into regional sites, a spokesman said.

KeyCorp and its subsidiaries currently employ 2,455 in the five-county district that includes Buffalo.
