THE Uganda Police Force has issued election guidelines to all police officers interested in contesting for LC posts in police barracks. A confidential circular issued on November 1, asks police officers to stand for LC posts as independent candidates without relinquishing their jobs.

The circular is titled: Guidelines to police officers contesting for LC elections in the barracks. The circular says police officers who will be contesting for LC seats should not get any support of any political party and the elections in the barracks should remain non-partisan.
