Nov. 11--The principal of Waddell High, one of Charlotte-Mecklenburg's most troubled schools, will apparently leave later this month.
A report Friday on WBTV (Channel 3) said Edward Ellis would leave, effective Nov. 27, quoting unnamed sources. After talking to Superintendent Peter Gorman, CMS spokeswoman Nora Carr declined to confirm the report late Friday.
"(Gorman) is not willing to release any information, until he has released it to the (school) board and the board has taken official action," Carr said. "He is planning to do that Tuesday night."
