Under a plastic wrapping on the third floor of a warehouse in Canton, the teal benches and trendy fixtures are piled like a scrap heap.

They are remnants of a Boogie's Diner in Los Angeles, recently closed by Merry-Go-Round Enterprises Inc.

While the Joppa-based company restructures under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the manufacturer of those benches waits its turn behind a long line of creditors.

J.K. Cabinet Inc., which expanded with Merry-Go-Round during that company's boom years, is owed between $200,000 and $400,000 - the exact amount still a matter of contention.

Based in Crown Industrial Park, J.K. Cabinet has grown to be the state's largest cabinet-making shop - with annual sales around $10 million - achieved …
