SAN FRANCISCO -- Corporations are looking with interest at a Windows NT Advanced Server product, announced last week here at DB Expo, that will enable them to broaden on-line transaction processing applications (OLTP) to embrace client/ server computing.
Unisys Corp.'s TransIt Open/OLTP is an implementation of Novell Inc.'s Tuxedo transaction monitor. It will ship in the third quarter; pricing has not been announced.
