Kabul, 4 November: Security officials claim to have arrested nine Taleban suspects during operations in Laghman and Kandahar Provinces.

Elsewhere, in Ghazni and Logar Provinces, gunmen attacked and damaged two police checkpoints but there were no reports of casualties.

Defence Ministry spokesman Zaher Azimi told Pajhwok Afghan News that seven Taleban fighters were arrested in Alisheng District of the eastern Laghman province. The district has been the scene of heavy fighting between Taleban fighters and NATO and Afghan …
