Mega Pacific eSolutions, Inc. is confident that the Ombudsman can justify before the Supreme Court its decision to absolve the Commission on Elections (Comelec) from criminal liabilities arising from a void P1.3 billion poll automation contract.

"We are not worried about [the Supreme Court order]. The [supplemental decision] was one of the best-written, best justified decisions I have read," Mega Pacific lawyer Estrella C. Elamparo told BusinessWorld in a phone interview.

She said the Sept. 27 supplemental decision of the Ombudsman "already justifies itself."
