Gaborone City Council (GCC) security guards have complained of a plot by the city council to terminate their contracts.

Speaking to Mmegi, some of the security guards said their problem started in 2004 when they were deployed to other departments. The city council management told them at the time that they were privatiSing. When the privatiSation did not go well, they retained the security guards but employed casuals who started to cause confusion in the department.
