Energy Ventures, Inc., Houston, Tex., has named T. William (Bill) Alexander vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Alexander was president of M & T Capital Corp., a New York based investment subsidiary of First Empire State Corp., with functional responsibility for its equity investment activities. He previously was director of the acquisition finance group of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and in senior lender positions with Canadian Imperial Bank, Citibank, and Chase Manhattan Bank.
