Jakarta, 31 October: Indonesian lawmakers and businesspeople urged the government to come up with a practical strategy to reap full economic and diplomatic benefits from its relationship with China, a major newspaper reported Tuesday [31 October].

Legislator Dradjad Wibowo, who is also a noted economist, said relations with China promised huge benefits for Indonesia, but acknowledged the latter was ill-prepared to realize them.
