PARLIAMENT has ordered minister Nsaba Buturo to pay back Shs20 million he received from a local radio station in Gulu.
Appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to answer queries in the auditor general's report yesterday, officials from the President's Office, Uganda Broadcasting Cooperation (UBC) and Mega FM Gulu said Buturo reportedly received the money when he was minister of State for Information.
The committee, chaired by Nathan Mafabi (Budadiri West) heard that Mega FM board chairman James Okema wrote to Buturo on November 22, 2004 informing him of the board's decision to give his ministry money to run government activities. Buturo wrote …
