Oct. 31--CALUMET -- Jay Buchanan has been surprising people with money for food and gifts made possible by a television talk show host.

After a trip to the "Oprah Winfrey Show" last week, Buchanan found himself driving around Canadian and Oklahoma counties Saturday, giving out $1,000 worth of gift baskets, groceries and money for toys to people in need. The money came from the television show's episode called "Make a Difference for the Holidays." Buchanan, 32, works as a probation officer for the Canadian County district attorney's office.
