'Ops Sikap' brings down road deaths.

DEATH toll and traffic accidents are showing a downward trend, with 11 deaths recorded on Sunday, the sixth day of Ops Sikap XI.

It was the lowest number of deaths recorded so far since the operation started on Oct 17.

The highest was 22 fatalities on Oct 20.

However, during the same period last year, there were only 95 deaths recorded after six days of the operation compared to 102 in Ops Sikap XI.

The Federal traffic chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Nooryah Md Anvar said the declining number of fatalities could be attributed to increasing public awareness following …
