SHAWN COLVIN: These Four Walls (Nonesuch, Gallo) Shawn Colvin has long been at the pinnacle of adult confessional music, having won Grammies for her efforts with the album A Few Small Repairs and the hit Sunny came home in 1998. Her musical partner on several of her albums, including A Few Small Repairs and this latest one, is John Leventhal, who plays a host of instruments, including bass and guitar. The first Colvin album I listened to, however, was Steady On and the influence of Larry Klein, who produced that one and was married to Joni Mitchell, is felt profoundly on this new disc.
