Oct. 27--Two people are in a Union County jail this morning, charged in a breaking-and-entering Thursday night at East Mecklenburg High School and a subsequent high-speed chase through eastern Mecklenburg and western Union counties. Police say the two people -- a man and a woman -- were caught by a sophisticated surveillance camera system in place at East Mecklenburg. That system includes cameras that monitor nearly all parts of the school and campus. According to police, the surveillance cameras and other security equipment alerted authorities about 11 p.m. Thursday. Cameras reportedly showed two people loading electronic equipment…
