Oct. 27--Two people are in a Union County jail this morning, charged in a breaking-and-entering Thursday night at East Mecklenburg High School and a subsequent high-speed chase through eastern Mecklenburg and western Union counties. Police say the two people -- a man and a woman -- were caught by a sophisticated surveillance camera system in place at East Mecklenburg. That system includes cameras that monitor nearly all parts of the school and campus.
