Oct. 27--Senior outside hitter Erin O'Connor sometimes glances around at the state championship banners that hang in the Bishop Miege gymnasium. They're hard to miss. Bishop Miege has won 17 state volleyball championships and will enter the Kansas 5A state tournament today and Saturday at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka as a contender for another.
