Oct. 26--With fewer polling places, advance voting among Sedgwick County residents is expected to be more popular than ever this year. It's a trend in other states, too.
Advance voting began Wednesday in Sedgwick County, and if past elections are any indication, more than one out of four people who vote in the general election will do so before Election Day, Nov. 7.
About 26 percent of voters cast advance ballots during the primary election in August.
"I'd expect the same in November," Election Commissioner Bill Gale said.
