"It doesn't matter how you get it done. The key thing is to get it done" many MBA students believe, according to a researcher who studied grad school cheating.
That attitude might explain why a recent survey of 5,331 students at 32 grad schools in the United States and Canada found an "alarming" amount of cheating in all disciplines, but more by the nation's future business leaders. Of MBA students, 56% admitted cheating at least once in the last year, compared with 47% of non-business students.
Students answered questions about 13 types of cheating, from copying test answers from others to taking sentences from the Internet without attribution.
Other reasons for MBA students cheating more include the "everybody does it" excuse, the ease of glancing at a neighbor for a one-word or number answer in business exams rather than essay questions, and MBA students' self-interest and bottom-line ...
