GSW Jackes-Evans, a St. Louis-based manufacturer of stovepipes, hearth accessories and chimney caps, has acquired the stove products division of Champion Manufacturing Industries Inc. of Memphis.

Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Memphis company will be relocated to St. Louis, creating between 40 and 60 jobs, according to Jeff Bresler, president of GSW Jackes-Evans Manufacturing Co.

Bresler says the acquisition will significantly increase his company's manufacturing volume in stoveboards and stovepipe, and will significantly strengthen the company's offering of heating, ventilation and air conditioning products and accessories. …
