Avanti draws up plans for initial 100,000 sq ft office phase

Hammerson is preparing to submit a planning application for the first phase of its 750,000 sq ft redevelopment on the north-eastern City fringe.

It has hired Shoreditch-based Avanti Architects to design a 100,000 sq ft office scheme at the Nicholls & Clarke site on Shoreditch High Street, E1. A planning application for this phase will be submitted to Tower Hamlets by Christmas.

The office scheme will form part of proposals that Hammerson has been working up since forming a joint venture with the City of London Corporation two years ago.
