Defence Minister Marcelo Delgado toured Ecuador's border with southern Colombia yesterday [18 October] to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths of two Ecuadoran citizens.

The incident occurred on Sunday on the San Miguel River and, according to relatives [of the dead], involved a Colombian Army patrol.
