Taipei, October 19, 2006 (CENS)--Taipei District Prosecutors' Office is stepping up investigations into the bid of Chinatrust Financial Holding to take over Mega Financial Holding, as they detained another two suspects and searched the Chinatrust headquarters and the residence of Jeffrey Koo Jr., former vice chairman of Chinatrust, yesterday (October 18). The two persons put into custody were Lin Hsiang-hsi, vice general manager for finance of Chinatrust, and Teng Yien-tun, chief legal officer, who joined Chang Ming-tien, former chief financial officer of the company, in jail.
