FARMERS have accused seed companies of taking advantage of their monopoly in some regions like Kapchorwa, to exploit and cheat them.

The farmers are also dissatisfied with the ever-increasing number of seed companies, which have continued to sell poor quality seeds.

The companies have also failed to put in place a redress system for the farmers, they further said.

The farmers were speaking during a public dialogue on the impact of trade liberalisation on farmers' livelihood at Nambole Stadium recently.
