In Anambra State [southern Nigeria], the House of Assembly has resolved to serve a notice of impeachment on Governor Peter Obi and his deputy, Mrs Virgy Etiaba.

The House in a motion supported by 18 members resolved to serve the notice of impeachment to the chief judge of the state, Justice Chucks Okoli, for investigation.

The motion was moved by the majority leader, Prince Humphrey Nsofor and seconded by Dr Ben Ogidigbo.
