Singapore - Software giant Microsoft Corp. is promising that its long- awaited Windows Vista will meet expectations for an operating system that is not just visually appealing or user-friendly but is more efficient and secure.

Representatives from media organizations worldwide are currently participating in a two-day workshop where Vista is to be discussed prior to its availability to businesses next month. General consumers, meanwhile, will be able to purchase the software starting January.
