Oct. 18--Two All-WesCo North players have verbally committed to play college basketball for West Coast Conference schools.

Jared Stohl, a 6-foot-1 senior guard from Marysville-Pilchuck High School, will attend the University of Portland. Tim Diederichs, a 6-8 senior forward from Snohomish, committed to Loyola Marymount of Los Angeles.

Snohomish coach Ken Bone announced Diederichs' decision Tuesday. Diederichs, who averaged 16.1 points with a high game of 39 for a 21-5 Panthers team last season, also considered Seattle Pacific and Marist College of New York.

Stohl, who averaged 20.3 points last season, announced his decision after a weekend visit to Portland. He had had narrowed his choices to Portland and Portland State. The Pilots also got a commitment recently …
