Thailand: Thai Rak Thai Party gets new leader.

Section: Government & Politics - Chaturon Chaisang has decided to take the post of acting Thai Rak Thai (TRT) party leader after former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra resigned as the party leader earlier this month.
Mr. Thaksin's resignation followed the September 19 military coup d'etat in which his government was deposed.
In a press conference Friday, Mr. Chaturon said that he was ready to take the post. He will take office on October 16.
