Court curatorship move for Pro Sano Science and Health Editor CAPE TOWN The Council for Medical Schemes has filed an urgent application in the Cape High Court to place troubled medical scheme Pro Sano under curatorship for alleged governance failings.

Pro Sano has about 100000 members and has been warned repeatedly by the council to get its house in order. The council is a statutory body charged with overseeing the medical schemes industry and safeguarding members' interests. It has stepped in to ask the court to take over the governance of the scheme.
