Political parties allied to ODM Kenya were yesterday divided over the system of membership for the new party.

While the Liberal Democratic Party supported individual membership, a section of Kanu and the Labour Party of Kenya preferred corporate status.

The differences came in the open only a day before MPs and top officials from parties linked to ODM-K go for a crucial meeting that will determine the membership structure and the presidential nomination system.

As the parties squabbled, ODM-K's secretariat met at the Nairobi Club to thrash out issues to be tabled before the bigger meeting starting tomorrow evening at an undisclosed venue.
