Jag and Weismann ideas
I'm a longtime Jaguar owner. The first one was a '56 XK 140 Drophead Coupe bought in '86. Thanks for the 2008 Jaguar S-Type view. I saw the Sept. 25 cover and thought, "Hmm, not bad for a Hyundai.'' Then I realized it was the new S-Type, and I thought, "Jaguar is toast.'' Too bad this car has no chance of saving Jaguar. So much for my XK's resale value.

Jaguar has always had a distinctive design that told you what kind of car it was before you looked at the badge. I might just buy a Volkswagen and add Jag badges to fake it. Audi has a similar look. Jaguar must remember that shape defines a vehicle. This new design is a highly used shape and is already tired.

On the Sept. 24 cover, is that a Jaguar or an updated Chrysler 300?
