Super-luxury auto-maker Rolls-Royce has confirmed plans to add a second car line in the next four years, built at the company's plant in Goodwood, England.
Long-rumored as the "baby Rolls,'' the second model will be smaller and less expensive than the company's flagship $330,000-plus Phantom but no less luxurious, assured Rolls-Royce chairman and CEO Ian Robertson. Robertson made the announcement at a special reception at the Paris show.
Production of the new Rolls will likely get under way by 2010, with up to 800 cars built per year. The model will be priced at $250,000 to $350,000 and is intended to compete head to head with luxury marques such as Bentley. The first cars will be sedans, but Robertson didn't rule ...
