PELTOURS is slashing capacity to Taba next summer and instead reintroducing Egypt? Mediterranean coast and launching stays in Jordan for the first time.

The specialist operator said the changes are to differentiate itself from mass-market operators now featuring Egypt. It is reducing capacity to Taba for summer 2007 from four flights a week to three and recently pulled plans for its first Leeds Bradford flight to Taba, due to start on October 5, because of poor sales. Winter capacity to Egypt will be cut from 500 to 400 seats a week.

Sales and marketing director Darren Panto said: ?There is too much capacity to Egypt and support from agents for the Leeds Bradford flight was disappointing. We?re the pioneer of Taba Heights but the big boys are destroying its image.?
