ITV has hired two creative agency account directors as part of a plan to create a closer relationship with the advertising industry and to undertake more ad-funded programming initiatives.
The network has appointed Nick Smith, the global business director at Ogilvy, and Samantha Wilson, who ran the Levi's account at Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York, to the newly created positions of client services directors.
Smith and Wilson will report to Nicky Buss, the advertiser development director at ITV. They will be responsible for developing ITV's branded content and AFP capabilities.
While he was at Ogilvy, Smith worked on the SAB Miller, GSK, Kraft and American Express accounts. His previous jobs also include roles at BBH in London and Warner Film.
