Bring on the flow
Wiesmann cars (News, Sept. 18) are beautiful, stunning designs-not the usual CAD/CAM boxes posing as design. Instead, the company has wonderful flowing lines not seen since the computer killed 3D compound curves. (Computers think in straight lines, and it's better to create an unlimited clay sculpture first, then feed it to the computer.)
Not all BMW-powered cars need to be ugly horrors.

Don't let this subject die
Dutch Mandel's Sept. 18 column said, "If AutoWeek put up a tent and invited everyone in to discuss, plan and execute ways to keep kids-and adults and grandparents, everyone-alive on our roads, would you be interested in joining?'' If you bring the tent, may I pound in the first stake?
