Maserati moves
Roberto Ronchi, the head of Fiat's fleet and network development, has replaced Maserati CEO Karl-Heinz Kalbfell. Kalbfell left Maserati after a 19-month tenure to pursue "other interests,'' the company says.
Besides overseeing introduction of the Maserati Coupe in North America in 2007, Ronchi will focus on developing a new range of entry-level models in partnership with Alfa Romeo.

Just when carmakers thought it was safe to sell their products in California again, the state is set to require more stringent controls of carbon dioxide from all sources, including cars. The bill would cut back emissions 25 percent by 2020.
