France's national automakers will unveil their usual visual feast of concepts and production cars at their home auto show. Highlights include:
* Peugeot's sexy 908 RC supercar gives a conceptual sneak peek at what Peugeot hopes will eventually be a challenge to Audi's R10. The concept's 5.5-liter 700-hp V12 diesel will power a racing version of the car that will compete at Le Mans next June. The 908 RC also reveals styling cues for the 608, the brand's next-generation range-topping car.
* Citroen's C-Metisse high-performance, ultra-low-emissions sedan concept lifts the veil from the diesel-electric vehicles the company will launch starting in 2010. The company claims a six-second 0-to-60-mph time and 45 mpg.
* Renault's Nepta concept previews the look of the brand's new luxury lineup in the form of a high-end soft-top convertible sedan.
Paris also welcomes a potpourri of non-French automakers:
* Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, a two-seat coupe with a carbon fiber body, is built on the steel platform from sister-brand Maserati's Coupe.
